Solar Pool Heating
Solar Pool Heating
After installing and servicing nearly every brand of solar pool heating system on the market, we have determined that i-Swim has the best product out there.
Here are some reasons why we choose to install i-Swim Pool systems:
- They carry a limited LIFETIME WARRANTY
- They are made in the U.S.A.
- Every system includes a hurricane protection package
- You can also cool your pool at nights during the hottest months of the year just by setting your desired pool temperature
- Their ingenious design provides as highly rated a performance as any solar pool heater ever created
How Does It Work?
Simply set the desired pool temperature and the sun does the rest. First, your system determines that your pool is colder than you desire. Second, it senses that there is enough sunlight to heat your pool to the desired temperature. Then, the pool pump sends your pool water to the solar collectors. As the water flows through the 120 tubes in each collector, the sun’s energy heats it. The solar-heated water then flows back into your pool. This simple cycle continues until your pool reaches the desired temperature.
You can also cool your pool during warmer months by simply running your pool pump at night where it almost works in reverse. It sends the water to the collectors when the air and temperatures are cooler, which in turn cools your pool. Your control system will automatically switch to cooling your pool so you don’t have to.
i-Swim is one of the world’s finest solar collectors for heating swimming pools. It is one of the first solar collectors to combine a tube-on-fin solar absorber with injection molded headers. The durable tub-on-fin configuration has been proven for decades to capture the most solar energy. The injection-molded header creates a one-piece solar collector, making it a service-free product for life.
i- Swim collectors are computer-designed to deliver maximum solar energy to your pool. Every solar collector is manufactured on computer-controlled machines in one of the industry’s most modern factories, assuring precise construction and uniform quality.
i-Swim collectors are made from a proven polypropylene formula that has demonstrated highest reliability for over twenty years. Your i-Swim pool heater can be expected to outlast all other pool heating products.

Solar pool heaters have many advantages over other pool heaters (like electric and gas):
- Energy used is clean and unlimited.
- System cost is usually equal to or less than other heaters.
- There is no ongoing expense to operate your heater. After installation, all the
- energy generated is FREE from the sun.
- Solar heaters have no moving parts so they generally require less service and
- last years longer than other types of heaters.
What to Expect from Your Solar Pool Heater
- Solar pool heating systems are designed for swimmers who enjoy pool temperatures from the mid 70s to the upper 80s (even low to mid 90s in some climates).
- The solar pool heater adds degrees to your pool water (often 10-15 degrees). By adding heat to your pool, which adds months to your swimming season. In Central
- Florida, for example, unheated pool temperatures are usually in the upper 60s or low 70s during November. A solar heated pool will have temperatures in the upper 70s or low 80s. For many people, that is the difference between swimming comfortably and not swimming at all. (Note: comparisons are similar in other climates, just at different times of the year.)
